P.S 17

I meant to post about this a lot sooner but I’m going to post the poem that I read the March For Our Lives rally a couple of weekends ago.

It didnt just graze the girl

The shooter decided to give the bullet a whirl

She couldn’t avoid the bullet

There was no way that she could pull it

From within her

It was tough for the guy

He has to act manly while he was about to die

It all happened so fast

His life was disappearing in a flash

Now it’s all a blur

The shooter didn’t care

There were 17 lives that he didn’t want to spare

He had no sympathy for his actions

You wonder if those deaths gave him any satisfaction

Those 17 teens could only hope for a prayer

We will make those 17 voices heard

To silence us would be absurd

We are doing what is right

This is what has inspired me to write

So let’s help give the families any type of closure
